Ok- I am confused. We will be staying off resort just down the street from Downtown Disney in May. One post said we could use Disney transportation from anywhere to get around, another said you can not get to the parks from Downtown Disney. Help!

Anyone is welcome to use the free bus transportation from Downtown Disney. However, it is correct that the Downtown Disney buses do not go directly to the theme parks, but you can get to the theme parks with a transfer.

For example, if you were at DD and wanted to go to the Magic Kingdom, there is no direct bus. However, you could take the bus to the Grand Floridian hotel and transfer there to the monorail, which is one stop away from the Magic Kingdom. Similarly, to get to Epcot, you could take a bus from DD to the Beach Club, and then take a five minute walk to get to Epcot. For Disney's Hollywood Studios, take a bus from DD to the Boardwalk resort and then walk or take a boat to DHS. For the Animal Kingdom, take a bus from DD to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and then transfer to a bus to the Animal Kingdom park.

You are also welcome to use any of the Disney transport options to get from park to park during the day. Feel free to monorail from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom, or anything like that.

Have a great visit to Walt Disney World.
