Hello! Is it OK to book a table at Sci-Fi just for appetizers and desserts? We are on DDP and don't want to use a table credit since we have an ADR at Mama Melrose's, but we want to go in for apps and shakes at lunch. Can we just pay cash? Thanks

Hi Deanna! The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is my kids' favorite restaurant at Disney World! They just love sitting in the cars and watching the campy old movies while they eat. There's no requirement that you order an entree at any Disney restaurant, so if you prefer to have an appetizer and a milkshake, go for it! You're welcome to pay cash or charge your meal on your Key to the World; many people on the Dining Plan choose to pay out of pocket at Sci-Fi rather than using a table-service credit since the food there is fairly inexpensive compared to many Disney restaurants.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
