I have an Ohio ID but I’ve lived in California for a year, can I still go to Disneyland?

    Hi Brittney,

Welcome to planDisney! Isn't it SO EXCITING that Disneyland Resort has opened its gates again?! I bet you're practically bursting with anticipation to experience the magic and joy, and I'm so happy to hear that you're planning to visit SOON!

Without a valid California ID, I would encourage you to bring other proof of residency along with you. Do you have a temporary California ID? A student ID? A pay stub, bank statement, utility bill, or tax document in your name? Please don't feel like you need to be like Mary Poppins and have an endless bag of official documents with you, but you may need to show proof of your California residency at the gate so you will want to make sure you're prepared. Please bring your Ohio ID with you, too, to use as photo identification to be able to confirm the name on the documents is really you. I promise you, Mickey Mouse can't wait to see you; he just needs to make sure everyone follows the policies to keep Guests and Cast Members as safe as possible. Please give a big "hello" wave to him for me when you do see him!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Brittney, and please feel free to come back and see us again if you have any other questions as you're planning your Disneyland Resort adventure. I hope you have a truly magical visit!
