Greetings, Daniel.
Welcome back to planDisney! Boy oh boy, your vacation to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the riverbend! Are you counting down the days in anticipation yet? I know I would be!
It sounds like you're a man after my own food-loving heart! When it comes to food, there's nowhere else on Earth that has as much to offer as Walt Disney World Resort.
'Ohana at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most popular restaurants on property and one of my family's favorites as well, so I'm excited to hEAR you will be dining there on your trip.
My husband and I just dined at 'Ohana for dinner about a week ago after not having been there in almost two years, and let me tell you, it was just as delicious as we remembered! My tastebuds were rejoicing and doing a happy dance! For the most part, the
dinner menu is the same as it was pre-Covid, but there were some changes as well.
The main difference you will see is with the protein offerings. Pre-Covid, the servers would travel around with skewers of meat, come by the tables, and put as many pieces on your plate as you wanted. Now, the protein offerings are brought to your table in dishes. The chicken and beef selections are different flavorings than what I remember but were still super tasty! Another slight change is that the bread brought to your table with the salad used to be a coconut bread but is more of a sweet Hawaiian bread now.
The
breakfast menu looks to be the same from what I can see on the menu online. They are still serving up heaping portions of eggs, pork sausage links, Hawaiian-style ham with pineapple compote, Mickey waffles, and more.
While there is no character dining at 'Ohana at this time, we did enjoy the Cast Member who serenaded on her ukulele around the restaurant while we dined. The same stunning views of
Magic Kingdom Park and the Seven Seas Lagoon are there. I loved looking up from my plate and seeing Cinderella Castle in the distance or a monorail flying by.
Keep in mind that menu items and entertainment are subject to change at any time. My best suggestion is to continue to check 'Ohana's menus to see what is being offered closer to your trip. Even though the dinner experience is slightly different, it is no less special or tasty than it was pre-Covid. Plus, it's still an all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurant, so you can eat as many 'Ohana noodles as your heart desires! I'm sure if Baymax were to ask you about your 'Ohana experience, you would be quick to say you were satisfied with your service.
Daniel, I hope this information helps. Please stop by planDisney anytime if further questions arise. We'd be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
