Hey there, welcome to
planDisney. Stan we are so glad you decided to contact us about this question. Getting around the parks is part of every visit, and finding a comfortable way to do it is important.
The
Walt Disney World Resort has four wonderful parks to visit and April is a fantastic time to be in the Florida sunshine. While you are traveling bringing your own mobility devices isn’t always the best option. However, there are plenty of options to rent while visiting the parks. The first official option is always renting a wheelchair for the length of your stay. If you decide on the length of stay option, the rentals are $10 per day. If you were looking just for a daily rental, they are $12. They are transferable between locations, just pay once and hold onto your receipt. These prices are subject to change. When you’re leaving, the wheelchairs cannot be removed from the location, but if you are returning let the cast member know and your wheelchair will be held. If you were looking for a mobility device to bring with you outside the parks as well, there is a Disney featured provider.
ScooterBug is a private rental company in Central Florida and it offers wheelchair rentals, ECV, and even strollers. The best part is these will be delivered right to your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. you can find all of the details for
all rental options right here in this link.
If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel in 2025 there is an amazing benefit. On the day of your check-in, you can drop off your bags at your hotel with
Bell Services. And head over to either
Blizzard Beach or
Typhoon Lagoon. One of the two will be closed for refurbishment, but the other will always remain open. It’s a great way to start your vacation with a splash. And I love free, it’s the best price ever. Another added benefit to staying inside of the magic is early entry which allows you to enter the parks 30 minutes before park opening. This gives you a chance to take some awesome pictures with not too many people in the background, or board some of the open attractions to start your day.
I hope this information helps your visit to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” easy going. If you have other planning questions visit us again at planDisney.com.
Have a magical day,
