Anchors aweigh, Amelie!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question; we are happy to help! I know sometimes it is challenging to get your sea legs while cruising, so let's get to your question and not waver any longer.
Disney Cruise Line vessels are all equipped with Fin Stabilizers which extend from the sides of the ship below the waterline. The stabilizers help provide a more stable feeling aboard the ship and help Guests stay more comfortable throughout the sailing. However, if needed, you will be happy to know that Seacalm (meclizine) is available for Guests, ages 13 and over, at
Guest Services and the
Medical Health Center onboard. You can also order ginger ale (for an additional fee if ordered from Room Service), saltines, and green apples from
Room Service or at any of the dining locations. You will also find ginger ale at the complimentary beverage stations on the pool deck. Each of these might help ease a queasy stomach.
If you are prone to motion sickness, it is recommended that you reserve an oceanview or verandah stateroom located midship. Any motion may be less noticeable there. I have found that the ship's motion is most noticeable on embarkation day and after that, I wouldn't even know the ship was moving. The gentle movement at night usually rocks me right to sleep!
Amelie, I hope this information is helpful for you and that you have smooth sailing during your upcoming cruise! Please let us know if you have other questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
