Hiya, Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! I see you're a planner, so you're among friends here. Your
Disneyland Resort visit next summer will be magical, and you're wise to start shopping around for deals early. Let's brainstorm ways to save you some money.
Disneyland Resort doesn't offer special discounts for firefighters, teachers, or other government employees, but you never know what that magical Mickey might come up with. My best tip is to watch the
Special Offers page on the website and follow the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news.
Eligible US military members can enjoy discounts on theme park tickets and Disneyland Resort Hotel stays, but the
current offers are for 2024. Look for announcements about 2025 offers later in the year if you have anyone in your party who qualifies.
One of my favorite ways to budget for a Disney trip is to purchase
Disney Gift Cards and add funds throughout the year. It doesn't hurt as much to add a little at a time, and since you have over a year, you could accumulate a nice little nest egg to take along. You can use Disney Gift Cards at most Disney-owned restaurants and shops, and I love knowing how much I have to spend. And sometimes, especially around the holidays, some retailers offer discounts on Disney Gift Cards. That's a great time to stock up!
I also noticed on the Special Offers page that if you sign up for a
new Disney Premier Visa Card, you could be eligible for a credit on your statement. I have a Disney Visa Card and love using it to get discounts at my local Disney Outlet, and I earn reward dollars to spend in the theme parks. On my most recent visit to
Disneyland Park, I had saved enough reward dollars to buy a backpack at the
Emporium.
Jessica, I know you were hoping for better news about discounts, but I hope I've given you some budgeting ideas for your next visit. I'm sprinkling pixie dust your way so you'll have a practically perfect time! Stop by
planDisney again!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
