Hi Christa!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
If you’re staying off property and have a date-based ticket (in which you chose your start date when you purchased the ticket), you’ll be able to
purchase your Lightning Lane services for your entire trip 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket.
If the ticket is not date-based, then you will be able to purchase Lightning Lane services 3 days prior to each specific park day.
It’s good to note that if you don’t snag a Lightning Lane you were hoping for when making your Lightning Lane Multi Pass pre-selections, you can modify your Lightning Lanes (pending availability) leading up to your trip and on your park day. Throughout your park day, you may see some availability here and there for the harder-to-get Lightning Lanes, so keep an eye out!
If you’re in between Lightning Lanes and the standby queues seem long, make sure to take advantage of all the extra experiences around the park. I love listening to the
Casey Corner’s Pianist at Magic Kingdom, watching
Winged Encounters at Animal Kingdom, dancing as the
Green Army Drum Corps march by in Hollywood Studios, and checking out the latest festival offerings at Epcot.
I couldn’t help but notice that you’ll be in Disney World during
Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival, which is one of my favorites! I love seeing all of the impressive topiaries, and my kids always get so excited to visit the butterfly garden. Plus the
outdoor kitchen menus look delicious this year!
I hope you have a great trip! Let us know if you have any other questions!
