Hi there, Jessica! Thanks so much for sailing by with your question. It sounds like your family made some picture-perfect memories aboard the
Disney Treasure. What an unforgettable first cruise!
When it comes to onboard photography, Disney Cruise Line does offer lots of magical opportunities to have your photos taken, and it's all managed by
Shutters, the onboard photography service. While I wish I had better news, photos taken by the ship’s photographers do need to be purchased while you’re still onboard. Unfortunately, once the cruise ends and you’ve disembarked, the photo files are no longer available for purchase. Disney Cruise Line does this to manage storage across hundreds of sailings, and the system automatically deletes unpurchased photos once the cruise wraps up.
That said,
if you did purchase any photos during your voyage, you can still download them from the Disney Cruise Line website for up to 45 days from the date they were taken. Just log in with the same account you used for your cruise reservation and head to the “My Cruise Photos” section.
I completely understand how easy it is to second-guess once you’re home (I've been there myself). But the silver lining is that it gives you the perfect excuse to start planning your next Disney Cruise, and this time with a
photo package pre-purchased or added early during your sailing. Also,
Pearl Castaway Club members (25+ sailings) now receive a complimentary photo package, which is a pretty magical perk to look forward to! Life goals, right?!
Thanks again for reaching out, Jessica. And when you’re ready to plan that next adventure at sea, we’re all ears here at planDisney.
Warm wishes,
Eean
