Just got off our cruise and excited to rebook another one! Is it a rumor or official that ducks cannot be hidden on board? We noticed people from the Disney Cruising Ducks group putting these around the life boats and in the elevators still?

    Ahoy there, Kim!

I'm so excited you are ready to book another Disney Cruise Line vacation! I hope you find another perfect itinerary so you can set sail again soon.

I'm glad you asked about hiding ducks on Disney cruise ships. This activity is not all it is "quacked" up to be (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun). According to multiple Disney Cruise Line representatives with whom I've spoken, Disney Cruise Line's policy has been and continues to be that hiding any items, including Donald Duck's little pals, in staterooms or anywhere around the ship is prohibited. These items pose a safety hazard to other passengers and the environment. Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to seize and secure any item deemed to pose a safety risk.

For Guests looking to add their personal touch to their Disney cruise, how about participating in a fish extender group? While this activity is not organized or endorsed by Disney Cruise Line, it is not prohibited. I've found these a fun way to get to know your fellow Guests. Be sure to check out this helpful information my planDisney pal, Prince, shared about fish extenders. Or maybe consider decorating your door with personalized magnets. Keep in mind that concierge stateroom doors can't be decorated and that there are some policies regarding door decorations. Of course, there is so much fun planned by the talented Disney Cruise Line Crew Members from the moment Guests board that ship that I barely have time for anything else! I'm sure you had the same experience on your cruise.

Speaking of booking your next cruise, did you know you can take advantage of an onboard booking, also referred to as a "placeholder," while you are still on the ship? A placeholder allows you to make a deposit and provides a discount on the prevailing rate of a future cruise. There are some blockout dates and terms and conditions, but I've found these to be a perfect way to get a jumpstart on another vacation. Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or stop by Guest Services or the Disney Vacation Planning desk on your next cruise, Kim!

I hope this information is helpful to you. Thanks for sailing by and come see us again with other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
