Now... An odd question for you guys : How deep is the water where the raft crosses the river at Tom Sawyer's island? My mom has a... small water phobia problem. Is there any other playing areas for 3-5yr old in MK? Thx

    Hi Marie-Lou,

I did a bit of online digging for you and found varying answers, but most seemed to mention the river being at about 8 feet deep at its deepest point.

There are a number of play areas at the Magic Kingdom and throughout Walt Disney World. The line for the Winnie the Pooh ride now has an interactive play area, you don't even need to be going on the ride to use it. Later this summer there will be a water play area in the new Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland. There are also drums to bang on in Adventureland. And many children find the Swiss Family Treehouse to be like a play area.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
