Oct 2010 for twins 3rd b'day w/ DH & 6 year DD. Looking @ WL/ PORS. Like boat to MK (WL) but like the "laid back feel" (PORS). Which would DC like best? Transport time not issue everything is slower w/ twins. If boys won't sleep n PNP can we

    Hi Lonna,

I am also the mom of twins (with an October birthday) with another child three years older. We took several trips to WDW when my children were in the age range you describe. I completely understand your situation.

I have stayed at both Port Orleans Riverside and the Wilderness Lodge. POR is great, but I have to tell you that i am quite biased in favor of the WL. It has my personal favorite themeing in all of WDW - which to me is very laid back.

There is so much for kids to do/see at the Wilderness Lodge. The pool is gorgeous. There is a beachy area for building castles, with a playground right there. There is a nice walk over to Fort Wilderness where you can visit the petting zoo. Bikes and boats are available for rental. You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the WL grounds. The geyser erupts periodically. And there is no finer restaurant for kids than the Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Plus, never underestimate the benefit of convenience for Mom and Dad. The gift shop is exceptionally well stocked. Because the WL is a Disney Vacation Club resort, the gift shop has a mini convenience store in it -- full of all of life's necessities. There is valet parking if you are driving. And on and on.

You can't really go wrong anywhere at WDW, but the Wilderness Lodge is a real treat.

    Good luck with your planning!
