Ahoy, Lisa!
It sounds to me like you are thinking about embarking on your first Disney Cruise! I had similar questions before we took our first voyage on the Disney Magic.
All of the
kids' clubs on the Disney Cruise Line ships are included in your cruise cost. There is the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, which is perfect for children ages 3-12. Depending on which ship you choose, your little one could become a toy in Andy's Room, suit up in Iron Man's armor, or dance on a magic play floor!
Edge is the tween club, geared for ages 11-14. This area has counselors to lead activities, but there are less structured activities than the Oceaneer Club and Lab. The tweens have scavenger hunts, play fun games, and listen to music in this area.
The oldest kids get to hang out in Vibe. This totally cool teen hang out is perfect for ages 14-17. They have some organized games, movie night, and areas to just be a teen. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the teens even have their own splash pool to "chill" at!
Dining in the main dining rooms on all four Disney Cruise Line ships is also included in your cruise cost. The food is excellent, and you rotate through the three dining rooms with your dining team. If you choose to try one of the
adult-exclusive dining options, there is an additional fee that will be charged to your stateroom ($30 for Palo brunch & dinner and $55 for brunch & $85 for dinner at Remy).
Good luck with planning your cruise! Please visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as you are going through the planning process.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
