is there an ocean near by because we have never seen the ocean and we thought we would put this in our plans

    Hi Timothy,

Walt Disney World is inland. However, since Florida is a very narrow state, there are beaches just over an hour drive away both to the east and the west.

Driving east for an hour will get you to the Atlantic ocean. Driving west for an hour will get you to the Gulf of Mexico, also with lovely sandy beaches.

By far the easiest way to get to either would be to rent a car. You could do this at Orlando International airport, or there are rental spots at the Dolphin hotel and the Disney Car Care center both on Disney property.

Please write back and let us know if you need information about either of these options.
