    Ocassionally you receive those Promotional emails or mailings from Disney, how come some dates are excluded? We received a 40% off promotion, but the week we have booked in October is excluded. Does that indicate heavy crowds?

    Hi Sarah!  That is the story of my WDW promo code life.  I always seem to be there a week when the offer is not valid.  I can't say exactly why certain weeks are excluded, but from past experience, it can mean that it hits near a holiday or even perhaps a special event in the park.  I am not sure what week you are referring to in October but it could possibly be the weekend of the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon event, or Food and Wine Festival dates at Epcot.  These definitely can draw larger crowds but I don't think that would make me change my vacation plans.
    I'll keep my fingers crossed for me an you that one day the promo code falls during my vacation dates.  Thanks so much for the great question and for visiting the Mom's Panel.
