On nye if i want to leave mid day, i know theres a risk MK could reach max capacity and i wouldnt be able to come back in. If I stay on property do you still face that or is it guaranteed reentry for resort guests?

    Hey there, Angela!

I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome you to planDisney! I have to say, ringing in the New Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth sounds like such an amazing way to celebrate...it really doesn't get more magical than that! Just imagine the excitement in the air, the twinkling lights all around, and the energy of everyone around you sharing in the moment.

Counting down to 2026 at Magic Kingdom is bound to be a memory you'll never forget. Between the spectacular fireworks lighting up the night sky to the festive atmosphere that Disney is known for, it's the perfect way to start the New Year in true Disney style!

It's important to keep in mind that Disney's theme parks can reach capacity, especially on super busy days or during special events like New Year's Eve. While staying at a Disney Resort comes with lots of wonderful perks — like Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation options — it doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to enter or re-enter if the park has already reached its limit.

Because of this, I'd strongly recommend staying inside Magic Kingdom once you've entered for the day. Leaving the park and hoping to come back later can be risky, as there's a chance you might not be allowed back in if the park hits capacity. Instead, why not make a midday table service dining reservation to relax and recharge? It's a great way to take a break, enjoy a delicious meal, and soak in the magic without worrying about leaving the park. Planning to arrive early and stay put will give you the best chance to experience all the attractions, shows, and festivities, making your day as fun and stress-free as possible.

We all know Disney goes all out for New Year's Eve at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but the details for this year haven't been announced just yet. Usually, Disney shares everything by December on the Disney Parks Blog, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates!
