Ahoy, Jennifer!
It sounds like you have an exciting getaway planned aboard the beautiful Disney Dream! I remember being a nursing mom and trying to plan out my schedule when I had to be away from my babies. I never cruised while pumping, but hopefully my tips will put your mind at ease before you cast off.
The good news about
Castaway Cay is that it is close to the ship so my advice is to head back to your stateroom when you need to pump. It's either a 10-minute walk or a few minutes on the tram. The process to embark and debark is very simple so it shouldn't take you too long. Nassau may be a bit trickier. I'm not sure of your plans, but if you want to venture off the ship for a Port Adventure, I suggest an excursion with a short duration so you don't have to worry about pumping while ashore. Many Guests choose to stay on the ship in Nassau so that's an option. There is so much to experience onboard that you will have plenty to keep you busy. Your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your go-to guides for all the ship's happenings! One of my favorite tips is to keep these handy at all times because there are so many incredible things to do on a Disney Cruise that you want to be as informed as possible.
Another one of my favorite tips is to dive into the dining onboard! I was a picky eater before I cruised and have grown to love many new foods because I was brave enough to try different things on my past sailings. One of the perks to dining is being able to order multiple items at dinner so I always try a variety of things each evening!
My final tip is to take time for you! Be sure to relax and enjoy the adult areas and offerings onboard. Disney Cruise Line caters to every age group, and you'll love what's available for 18 and over!
Good luck with your plans and have a magical time!
Nancy
