I have a number of character meals scheduled and was so seeing how much time to expect the meal to take? Akerhaus, Crystal Palace, 1900 park Fare, Chef Mickeys, etc.

Hi Sarah! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

You have just named three of my daughters’ favorite meals in all of Walt Disney World Resort – Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, The Crystal Palace, and 1900 Park Fare! I know that I will be on their “worst-Mom-ever list” if we do not have a breakfast Advanced Dining Reservation lined up each trip at The Crystal Palace. Just kidding … or not. There is something about the Pooh’s Puffed French Toast and hopping with Tigger that makes them giggly and their tummies happy!

When we have dined at the locations you mentioned, we spent a good 60-90 minutes in the restaurant. While we could have had our fill of 1900 Park Fare’s delicious strawberry soup in much less time than that, we certainly did not want to leave before meeting all of the fun characters. Another thing that put me on the “worst-Mom-ever list:” making my older daughter leave The Crystal Palace for park opening before she met Eeyore. Do yourself a favor, Sarah, and give your family plenty of time to enjoy a great meal and meet all of the characters.

I hope you have many delicious and fun character dining experiences during your trip to Walt Disney World Resort. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
