Hello Moms! We have 8 nts at CBR, 6 park days plus 1 Halloween party eve booked late Sept. and water pks. Kids will be 8&12. Not great very early or past 10:00 pm. Suggestions on how to plan so we max our park days but not wear out? Want to do MK/EP/H

    Hello, Lisa!

It sounds like you are planning a big adventure at Walt Disney World this fall! I am also planning a trip around Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and I've learned that it takes a little bit of advance planning to pull off a late-night event with children. Here's how I approached creating an itinerary for my (eerily similar!) vacation:
    • The day before Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you may want to visit the theme park with the latest announced closing time. Don't worry -- you will be sleeping in the next day, and the theme parks typically don't offer late-night hours in September.
    • The day of the party, sleep in a bit and enjoy the amenities at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, then head over to Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy a late night at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
    • The day after the party, my family and I would visit one of the splashtastic Disney Water Parks and just take it easy. We may visit Disney's BoardWalk or Downtown Disney in the evening for a casual stroll and family-friendly entertainment, without having to use a theme park ticket.
    • Wake up early the next day, and visit a theme park that you need to arrive early at -- like Disney's Hollywood Studios (for the Jedi Training Academy sign-ups that tend to go quickly).
    • The other days could be spent at the theme parks of your choosing. My family and I typically choose to spend at least two full days at both Epcot and Magic Kingdom Park on each visit, and a full day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
    • Please keep in mind that if you need to return to your Disney Resort hotel for a mid-day break, you are always welcome to do that using complimentary Disney transportation.
I hope you and your family have a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Lisa! If you have any additional questions about planning a fall vacation at Walt Disney World, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Happy planning!
