We are going in November and I have been seeing people get physical cards and luggage tags in the mail for their trip. I have not received anything for ours. Is this something I should be on the lookout for?

    Hiya Tylar!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you are arriving soon at Walt Disney World Resort! It's just about a month away and there is so much magic coming your way!

Information regarding these luggage tags can be confusing and I am sorry if you have not received one yet. Walt Disney World Resort Travel Company provides guests who purchase a Walt Disney World Resort Package a special Magical Extras envelope or box that contains luggage tags and coupons. This package combined Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservations with tickets to the Parks and sometimes flights!  After confirming with a Cast Member it appears that the luggage tags are still being mailed out about two weeks before eligible guests arrive. You will not be eligible if you booked through a travel agent, are an international guest, did not book a full package of hotel with tickets, or booked within ten days of arrival. If you are an eligible guest that has not received their tags then I was advised by the friendly Cast Member that you can head to the Front Desk of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel where this Magical Extras envelope can be picked up.  I still have the luggage tags I received years ago on my luggage now but looking back I realize it has been a long time since I received any. I see now that for various reasons I did not book a package but booked things separately or had an Annual Pass that did not warrant a need for ticket purchases.  This could be why you have not received your package. However, I do hope it still magically arrives to you. If you are looking to get physical tickets which are now cute cards with special characters, I would visit one of the "Will Call" ticket booths at the front of each of the four Theme Parks and ask for one. I sometimes do this just to have a souvenir as they change designs once in a while.

If you are a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you are still able to purchase a discounted MagicBand+ before you arrive. They are so exciting to receive and are something that I keep in my carry-on luggage so that I can put it on right when I arrive. These bands can help open my Resort room door, make purchases, and let me enter the Parks. Once it is linked to My Disney Experience Account many opportunities become available to make my trip streamlined and fun.

Since you are arriving in November, I hope you know that all the Parks and Resorts will be sprinkled with holiday magic and cheer. You will hear Christmas music, see beautiful Christmas trees and lights, and plenty of bows and bells everywhere. One of the best events of the year include Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which I hope you get a chance to enjoy. It is a special event with a ticket you must purchase separately and it includes cookies, hot cocoa, special parades, shows, and a ton of merry fun.

I hope you have a wonderful time counting down and finding ways to enjoy every moment of your upcoming adventure. Please let me know if you have any additional questions as I am glad to help!

    Happy Planning!
