November I purchased a Disneyland package for 2 adults and 1 child. My husband got sick and could not join us. I would like to transfer his unused ticket to a friend. I have printed etickets with the bar code and his name on them. Can they be used?

    Hiya, Kathy! Welcome to planDisney.

I am happy to help you with your Disneyland Resort planning question.

I would like to begin by saying that you are a very generous friend! You can absolutely reassign Theme Park Tickets to another individual. I did this just last year and can tell you that it is very easy to do. I do need to mention that you can only reassign a ticket if the ticket is unused, and as you have stated, it is. Yay!

To change the name on a ticket, call (714) 781-4636 to speak to a Cast Member. I recommend having your ticket information handy.

Next, you will have your friend add the ticket to their Disneyland Mobile App. On the homepage, they will press the "3 lines" on the far right-hand side. Then they will press the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, they will press a "+" on the top right-hand side of the screen. Lastly, they will press the "Link Tickets & Passes" button and they will have a few options to choose from to link the ticket to their app. Tip: it will be helpful if you give your friend the printed e-ticket for this step!

After they link their ticket to the app, they will need to Make Park Reservations for the day they would like to visit. This can also be done via the app or desktop--once their ticket is linked. If they do it via the app, they will press the "+" button on the homepage. Then they will press on "Make a Park Reservation." Next, they will press the blue "Make Park Reservations" button. From there they will be redirected to the Disneyland Resort website where they will follow the instructions to make a reservation.

Kathy, if you or your friend have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask us! We would love to help. I hope your friend has the happiest visit!

    Your Pal,
