Hello! In November 2017, my daughters plan to run Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend. I want to make breakfast reservations for after each race. How long does each event last/ what would be a safe time to make the reservations? Thank you!

    Hi Richard!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is wonderful to hear you'll be supporting your daughters at this years Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. I'm planning on running this weekend and my dad will be there chEARing me on too!

As far as how long the events last, the main factors will be your daughter's start time and race pace. Each event has a designated start time, but the time they cross the starting line will be determined by their individual corrals, with the later corrals starting up to an hour after the posted start time. Then you'd add their estimated completion time and probably another 15-20 minutes to allow them to collect their medals, post-race refreshments and of course the commemorative Disney PhotoPass opportunity! The last thing to consider is the travel time to the restaurant of your Advanced Dining Reservation.

For example, I'm an average paced runner so for Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon I'm going to estimate my corral is in middle of the pack and I cross the start line at approximately 6 AM. It takes me 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish then 20 minutes to collect my belongings and meet up with my party. I'll give myself 30 minutes to travel from Epcot to The Crystal Palace inside of Magic Kingdom. It is now 9:10 AM so I'd make a 9:30 AM reservation to be on the safe side!

I hope this helps and that you and your daughters have a magical trip!
