Hi, Michelle! My kids love trying new restaurants, so I always combine old favorites with something new.
If character meals are a family favorite,
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great option. This buffet meal features kid friendly favorites and some dishes with an African flair. We love the food, and my girls love the characters in their safari gear. The restaurant also participates in the
Rivers of Light Dining Package, which also gets you premium seats to that evening's Rivers of Light show.
Two restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios stand out as unique dining experiences. My family's favorite is
50"s Prime Time Cafe. You'll take a step back in time to Mom's kitchen in the 1950's with some comfort food favorites, like meat loaf, pot roast, and fried chicken, all with fun interaction with your servers. You might be asked to set the table for dinner, asked if you washed your hands, and make sure you eat your veggies!
The other restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios worth a mention is
Sci-Fi Dine-In. Enjoy watching drive in movie clips from some classic sci-fi movies while sitting in your "car".
Two tougher to get reservations may be well worth a try. 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort has a delicious all you care to eat dinner, featuring fresh off the grill skewers of proteins with delicious sides. Cinderella's Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom is a must do at least once. Who doesn't want to eat in the castle?
Bon appetit!
