Are there any "do nots" in regards to costumes for the MNSSHP? My son is a HUGE renaisance fan and has clothes we bought from our local faire. With those clothes come daggers and the like... While I am sure the daggers are out... what else is a

Hi, Rachel!  The list of "do nots" is really quite short.  The costume cannot obstruct vision in any way, it shouldn't drag behind you on the ground, and you shouldn't have sharp objects or anything that has the potential to injure any other guest.  If the daggers are "authentic", they won't be permitted into the theme park.  Ones that qualify as "toys" are okay.

Also, keep in mind with costumes that this is Orlando, and you may experience temperatures that are still in the low 80s.  Short sleeves and breathable fabrics work better than anything that you might be roasting hot wearing.  Also, you'll be on and off attractions, so you want to make sure that whatever your son is wearing, he's able to sit comfortably on the attractions.

Another thing I recommend, Mom to Mom, minimize the things that you may end up carrying at the end of the night.  The later it gets, the more stuff I seem to accumulate - including trick or treat bags, wigs, and costume accessories.  Since I usually start the evening out carrying extra jackets or sweatshirts, I like to make sure the costumes the kids wear are going to minimize my burden later!

    Have a wonderful time!
