I noticed in the video for space mountain that it looks like the seating on space mountain is allowing for two people to sit next to each other on the ride. Is that correct? I remember it being single seating before....

There is no side-by-side seating on Space Mountain. Each vehicle seats three people, one behind the other, with two attached vehicles going through the ride at the same time. This means that a party of up to six people would be "together" on the ride. With more than six, someone would have to wait for the next car/rocket.

For younger children who may be a bit nervous about this attraction, I have found it effective it the adult sits behind the child on the ride. While you aren't really able to hold the child's hand, you can put your hands on the child's shoulders for comfort.
