Bright Suns, Cathy!
Welcome to planDisney! It's great to hear that you're planning a visit to Disneyland around May 4th. I must compliment you on your research skills, because the Disneyland Resort does indeed close early on May 4th due to the
Disneyland After Dark special event - Star Wars Nite.
This event is definitely something that fans of the franchise would love to attend, but don't worry if you weren't able to secure tickets as a regular park guest because you can definitely still enjoy the park on that day! Regular park hours end at 8pm on May 4th, and guests who have purchased a special ticket for this event may begin to enter the park starting at 6pm.
It's worth noting that May the 4th is also recognized as "Star Wars Day" by many fans, so you might see some
special merchandise and themed food offerings around the park. Additionally, there are always plenty of Star Wars attractions and experiences to enjoy at Disneyland, so you can still get your fix of the Force even without attending the After Dark event.
If you still want to get in on some of the May 4th action, there are plenty of other things you can do around the park to celebrate. For example, you could visit
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, a themed land within Disneyland that transports you to the remote planet of Batuu. There, you can
pilot the Millennium Falcon,
build your own lightsaber, and even indulge in some
unique Star Wars-themed food and drinks. Year-round, my favorite intergalactic treat is the Cold Brew Black Caf at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. I never leave the planet without one!
One last tip, Cathy: Now that the
Mandalorian and Grogu are regulars at this outpost, it's time to unleash your inner Boba Fett and take part in the thrilling
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters experience!
I hope these tips and information were helpful, Cathy. With so much to see and do, you're sure to have a great time at Disneyland on May 4th, even without attending the After Dark event. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
message me directly so that I can hit the hyperdrive and respond at lightspeed!
May the Force Be With You,
Danielle
