Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    I noticed you honeymooned at Carribean Beach resort. My fiance and I will also be honeymooning there in August. You mentioned this is not your favorite moderate resort. Should we choose another for our honeymoon location?

    Congratulations on getting married and honeymooning in WDW!

    I honeymooned at the Caribbean beach 15 years ago in October and loved it.  This is a large resort is which has lots of activities and pools.  Each area is a different island in the Caribbean.  However with the size of it comes distance to the food court and more bus stops.

    Fast forward, to where I am in my life now, and I have two children, who at one point were in a stroller.  It could be difficult for a family of four with a stroller to load and unload on the buses.  Also, the food  court is located further away from some "islands" than at my favorite moderate, Port Orleans Riverside.  At Riverside, food and transportation are closer because it is a smaller resort.  This is why I recommend it for families, who are the main visitors to this site.

    For honeymooners, I like Caribbean Beach because you have quiet places to stroll.  I also found that I did not mind waiting for a bus because I had only to worry about my groom and I.  We enjoyed dinner at the hotel and had a wonderful time.  When we planned to return to Disney and stay at a moderate, we needed a room for five and so we had to stay at Riverside.  I simply fell in love with its charm and again with two kids it was easier there.

    One thing to mention is the main pool at Caribbean Beach will be under construction during your stay but the other pools will be open for you to cool off at.

    I think you would enjoy the magic and charm of Caribbean Beach and remember to mention to Castmembers it is your honeymoon and see what pixie dust they add!
