We noticed that every day before opening, the staff at Blizzard Beach, picks one family to be the first guest to ride down Summit Plummet before the park officially opens. How do you get selected for that? Thanks

You just have to be lucky. That's really it.

There are countless special experiences at WDW: being first down Summit Plummet, spending a night in Cinderella's castle, riding on the Barnstormer with Goofy, mastering the Force at the Jedi Training, marching in a parade, ... the list goes on and on and on. And really, all of this is just random. You have to be in the right place at the right time and there's no way to predict what that right place or right time would be.

I've mentioned this on the Panel before, but my oldest daughter really seems to have Walt's magic in her blood. Over the years, she's been chosen to wave the wand to open Fantasyland. She's driven the Jungle Cruise. She's led the band at the Biergarten. She's ridden in Dumbo alone with Minnie. She led the dessert parade at the Spirit of Aloha luau.

Her sisters have never been chosen for anything.

If there was any way to influence this to even things out, I certainly would have done it. But since it's all random, there's nothing I can do but hope for the best.

And I'll be hoping for the best for you too :-)
