Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!
Typically runDisney sets aside a limited number of spots for early registration, so hopefully you were able to secure yourself a spot when registration opened to the general public this week on March 19, for the
2019 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (fingers crossed)!
I'm a Disney Princess Half Marathon devotee, so I know all too well how registering for these events is an endurance race in and of itself since some
runDisney races sell out in mere minutes, and Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend tends to be to most popular of all. New this year for the event's 10th Anniversary, is the post-race party at
Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival. Half marathon and Challenge runners get a ticket included with their race fee. The event starts at 5:00 PM with special events beginning at 10:00 until 1:00 AM, so you'll have plenty of time to shower and nap post-race!
If you are still waiting to register, the Disney Two Course Challenge is currently open, and this delectable event combines the Wine & Dine 10K on Saturday with the Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Sunday for total of 19.3 miles! However, if the event you truly had your heart set on is sold out, you can still run by registering with a runDisney Charity Group, and there is usually a minimum fundraising amount- just do a quick Google search.
Michael, I hope you're able to devour up those miles on your
run-cation this fall, and good luck training!
