I noticed that in the dietary section of the questionnaire there are categories like vegan, vegetarian etc. but nowhere to indicate food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. How do the Disney cruises address that issue?

Welcome aboard, Thomas! Disney Cruise Line is fabulous at ensuring that all guests, no matter their dietary restrictions, enjoy a delicious culinary experience onboard their ships.

It sounds like your family has some food allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. This is becoming increasingly common so Disney Cruise Line handles this all the time. If you haven't already, be sure to call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532 to add these allergies to your reservation. This information is then passed along to your dining service team onboard the ship. They'll be prepared when you walk into the first of your rotational restaurants.

Chat with your servers about the allergies for each of your family members and they'll give you recommendations for food options. Since Disney Cruise Line includes Rotational Dining, you'll be assigned a dining service team that will stick with your family, rotating with you through the various table service restaurants each night. No need to re-explain allergies to a different dining server every night. Plus, it's great fun to get to know your dining servers. They play games with the kids, tell jokes, do magic tricks and really become like part of our family each time we sail.

Thomas, Disney does recommend that guests with food allergies try to eat most of their meals in the table service restaurants, as opposed to the quick service spots on the pool deck or Cabanas Buffet, as the table service restaurants are better equipped to handle food allergies. Also, the special services team is available prior to sailing should a guest have a life threatening or severe food allergy.

I just know that allergies or not, your family is in for a delectable dining experience, Thomas! Have a great cruise!
