Not sure if we will have 8 or 9 in our party for September 2016. How easy is it to change a reservation one way or the other once it's made. The room won't be a problem, as we will need 2 bedroom villa probably, but will add or subtract dining and tickets

    Hi Kathy!

With a large group, Disney Vacation Club Villas are a great way to stay together, but also have enough space for everyone to stretch out and relax. The kitchen that you’ll find in a 2 Bedroom Villa is a big help for families. I recommend eating breakfast in your room to make your mornings in the park more efficient as well as a great way to save money!

I recommend booking your resort room as soon as you have decided on your dates and which resort you would like. You can then rest assured that the accommodation of your choice has been secured, and other options can be added later. Having a resort reservation in advance also allows you to make Advance Dining Reservations for up to 10 days of your vacation, 180 days prior to your check-in date. If you are looking to dine at popular locations such as Be Our Guest, ‘Ohana or Chef Mickey’s, being able to book as soon as possible gives you the best chances of securing a reservation.

Most aspects of a reservation are easy to change, however I do think it is always easier to add options to your vacation package than subtract them. Also, since a special offer could come available that might require the purchase of specific package items, I usually recommend friends wait a little closer to their actual vacation to add park tickets or the Disney Dining Plan. Theme park tickets in particular are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you purchase a 5 day ticket and then decide to upgrade to a 6 day ticket, that can easily be done, but if you decide to stay less days, you won’t be able to go backwards and exchange a 5 day for a 4 day ticket. For a September vacation, I would recommend having a package finalized by the end of May or early June.

I hope that gives you a little bit of guidance. Please let us know as you continue to plan, what additional questions that we can help you with!
