Not sure what hotel to book for July 5 - 11, 2010 my grandaughter will be 8yrs. old. I was looking at the Boardwalk or the Polynesian for 3 nites 4 days. Any suggestions? It will be her first visit to Disney. Also any other recommend for hotel

Hi, Marilyn!  There are advantages to both hotels.  The Polynesian is on the monorail, so you will have easy access to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT via the monorail system.  I love the lush tropical theming of the resort, and the smell of gardenias is intoxicating!  There's a very grown up feel here, but it's also wonderful for children, with different kids' activities during the day, a great arcade, and a lovely pool.

The Boardwalk resort is, obviously, on the Boardwalk.  You can walk to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT, which is so convenient, and the Boardwalk area itself really comes alive in the evenings.  My girls love the street performers, and the pool here is really cool.  The resort itself is lighter and brighter than the Polynesian, and every bit as beautiful.

I also love the Beach Club if you are considering something in the same area as the Boardwalk.  Again, light and bright in feeling, the resort is a quick walk to EPCOT's International Gateway entrance, close enough to the Boardwalk that you can enjoy the nightlife there, and another great pool.

Have a wonderful vacation!  I hope your granddaughter loves the trip!
