    I am not staying at a resort, can I still rope drop? Are shops like the Emporium open earlier than the regular posted time?

    My family are early-morning risers, so we always arrive at the theme parks well before they open. My kids love getting up and out the door in the morning, while I love taking advantage of the lower temperatures and the lower wait times. 

    Jennifer, starting in October, each theme park will open 30 minutes prior to the posted opening time only for guests of the Disney Resorts Collection and guests of select good neighbor hotels. So you will not be able to "officially" rope drop these parks. What you are able to do; however, is to browse the shops along Main Street, U.S.A. as these shops generally open their doors around an hour before the Magic Kingdom opens.
