Deborah,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Of course you can still dine at
Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness, even if you are not staying at a Disney resort hotel. I would still recommend you get a reservation, but it should be easier to get than a reservation for the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
While I am a big fan of the breakfast at Trail's End, the dinner is fantastic too. There are too many amazing things to mention here, but you should know that they are still serving not as a buffet, but as a family-style skillet service. Don't worry, those skillets still have a great variety of choices for everyone in your family.
BONUS TIP #1If you arrive early, and would like an adult beverage to start off the evening, swing on in to
Crockett's Tavern next door. The ambiance is a perfect set-up for your dinner!
BONUS TIP #2Another idea if you have any extra time on your hands before or after dinner is to visit the nearby
Settlement Trading Post. This resort store has some really fun souvenirs, including resort-specific shirts.
Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
