Only a few short weeks until your Walt Disney World vacation, Robert! I know you must be getting excited, and I can tell you've been doing some research about park schedules, which is fantastic! I'd love to give you some Moms Panel advice.
Early Morning Magic and
Extra Magic Hours are two different things. The most significant difference is one encompasses the majority of the attractions in the park and is free to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests (Extra Magic Hours), while the other (Early Morning Magic) is a special ticketed event and is open to anybody who wants to ride select attractions in a section of the park. On March 5, Magic Kingdom Park will have Early Morning Magic in Fantasyland. So while there will be people in that area of the park before it opens, Walt Disney World only sells a limited number of tickets, and the majority of the Guests at the event will be done riding and enjoying their breakfast at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café (which is included in the cost) by the time you arrive.
I don't think this event will have much of an impact on the crowds at the Magic Kingdom that day. However, make sure you reserve your FastPast+ selections for all your must-do attractions. If you plan on eating a Table Service meal while in the park, you can make also Advanced Dining Reservations through the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. I'd highly recommend
The Crystal Palace which is a fan favorite among the preschool crowd who adore Pooh and Tigger, and the buffet has great selections for both adventurous and picky eaters (by the way, lunchtime is usually the easiest reservation to get).
Have a wonderful time on your trip, Robert!
