Hi Dennis!
Welcome to planDisney! It looks like your visit is just around the river bend, so I hope you are getting packed and excited! The parks can be hot this time of year so don’t forget the sunscreen, a hat, and maybe some of those cooling rags to try to beat the heat. It also rains a lot in the afternoons, so throw a poncho or two in that suitcase!
Dennis, the cool thing about
MagicBands is that they aren’t linked to a specific trip or hotel reservation, they are linked to a Guest. This means that any older MagicBands that are linked to you, will work for future trips and tickets that are linked to you as long as they are active and the battery is still good. With a MagicBand from March, your battery should be just fine. So no need to do anything, you are good to go! I get a new MagicBand each trip and bring multiple colors and styles to go with our theme for the day.
If you’d like to do a quick double-check to be sure the old MagicBand is still active, sign in to
My Disney Experience and go to My MagicBands and Cards. Scroll down to the lower portion of the page where you will see your name and avatar and the number of MagicBands or Cards associated with you. Don't laugh, but I currently have 22! Click your avatar to open up more details and you should see your MagicBand from March. If it is active, you’ll have the option to deactivate it. As long as it is active, it will work for your upcoming trip!
So pack that MagicBand along with your Mickey Ears and get ready to enjoy the magic of the
Walt Disney World Resort, Dennis!
Have a great vacation!
