If we're not staying at a Disney property, is it best to go to the fireworks during Extra Magic Hours days or not? I want to make sure it's not too crowded.

    Greetings Cecelia!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It can be quite challenging to predict crowd levels during Extra Magic Hours because many factors can influence the crowds such as time of year and park hours at the other theme parks. With that being said, I would personally avoid the park offering Extra Magic Hours that evening, if you will not be staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Because many of the Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels will be heading to that park in order to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, I suggest watching the fireworks display on a different day if possible.  I have taken advantage of Extra Magic Hours (Evening) during many vacations and usually find the park to be more crowded than I would prefer.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Cecelia!

    Happy Planning,
