I am not staying at a Disney hotel, but I would like to eat at a counter service restaurant inside a Disney hotel. Is it allowed?

    Welcome to planDisney, Crystal!

With an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World, you must be SO excited!

At the current time, "a confirmed dining reservation is required for day Guests (those not staying overnight)" for Disney Resort Hotel Dining. This means that only Guests with either a room reservation or a dining reservation may visit Disney Resort Hotels.

Not to worry, though, as there are so many fantastic Quick Service dining locations scattered throughout Walt Disney World theme parks as well as at Disney Springs!

Some of our very favorite Disney Springs Quick Service dining locations are our favorites not because of their convenience, but because their food is just so darn good. Favs include Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs Marketplace (their Breakfast Pizza and Corn Flake French Toast rival any breakfast splurge anywhere, and their lunch/dinner options are ridiculously delicious AND offer huge portions); The Polite Pig (that menu--oh, my FOODness!); and Morimoto Asia Street Food (I still dream about their Morimoto Baby Ribs...they are that tasty). We also love Earl of Sandwich for a quick grab-and-go meal to bring back to our resort or even take with us to the airport on departure day. Although technically listed as a lounge, we enjoy ordering a few items to share at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, too. Try their flatbreads (yum!), Doctor Astorga's Queso Fundido (double yum!), and Snakebite Sliders--all washed down with a signature libation in a super-cool setting. You'll love it!

If you are looking for a particular item that's served at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotel Quick Service locations, some of those specialty items can be found inside Walt Disney World theme parks, too. Craving a DOLE Whip served at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort's Pineapple Lanai? Head to Magic Kingdom's Aloha Isle instead. Slow-roasted Barbecue Ribs from The Mara at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge? Enjoy the St. Louis Rib Dinner at Animal Kingdom's Flame Tree Barbecue. For us, exploring new dining locations usually results in adding some names to our Must-Do Dining list for future vacations. :-)

As you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Crystal, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
