Welcome to planDisney, Kat, and thanks for this great question. Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the riverbend, so let's look at some ways your family can enjoy the magic this week.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for guests who have trouble waiting in the traditional standby queues at attractions. If you feel your nephew qualifies for this service, you can stop by
Guest Relations at any theme park entrance to register for DAS. This would allow your nephew to get return times for attractions for himself and up to five additional guests. While this doesn't shorten the actual wait time, it does allow your party to do other things while you're waiting to experience a ride or show.
You can review the requirements and locations on the DAS information page, and I also recommend reviewing the information provided on the
Services for Guests with Disabilities page for tips.
My family doesn't always park hop, so I think you'll enjoy immersing yourself in one park per day. I recommend Magic Kingdom Park since it offers
many attractions and entertainment. While it can be bustling, I've found there are quiet spots to take a break and people-watch. My favorite is behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Frontierland. Look for the shaded picnic tables for a serene place to enjoy a snack and relaxation.
I'd also recommend you spend time at EPCOT. The
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom, and most activities are included with your admission. There are scavenger hunts, topiaries, and a butterfly garden. If your party enjoys music, check out the schedule for the
Garden Rocks Concert Series which is also complimentary. I can't wait to see the Plain White Tees in concert next month!
Kat, I hope you have a fabulous time making magical memories with your nephew. Please stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
