Welcome to planDisney, Anna! Your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming up as fast as Lightning McQueen, so let's wave the checkered flag to get you an answer about
Disability Access Service (DAS).
I chatted with a speedy Cast Member who said the only person in the party who needs a ticket to pre-register for DAS is the guest applying for the service. Once you've reviewed the procedures and requirements, click the "Request Live Video Chat" button at the bottom of the screen to begin the
pre-arrival via live video chat.
Just to remind you, only five additional guests can be added to a return time for an attraction. The good news is, it doesn't have to be the same five guests. Since you have a large party, you can take turns using the DAS with the guest who has the service. You can make a game out of who gets to ride next!
Guests can pre-register for DAS two to 30 days before arrival, so you are within that window. I suggest you
purchase the ticket and take care of registration as soon as possible. You'll also have the option of choosing the first two attractions using
DAS Advanced planning, but you won't have to specify who will be riding. Once everyone in your party has scanned into a park and is linked in
Family & Friends, you can select who will enjoy the need for speed!
Anna, feel free to contact
Disability Services if you have any questions about DAS, or you can stop by
Guest Relations once you're at the theme parks.
You're visiting during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so I hope you take some fabulous photos with the
topiaries. The brand-new Groot topiary plays a few funky tunes from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. I can't wait to see which one I hear next month when I visit. I am Groot!
Anna, I'm sending pixie dust and racing trophies so your visit will be KA-CHOW! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
