If I do not have the park hopper option with my tickets can I still leave the park and come back later? I have a 3 year old son who will need a nap so I want to know if we go to Magic Kingdom in the morning then leave for a nap, we can leave then come back

Hi Brogain and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy to hear that you have a plan in the works to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for stopping by with your question about re-entry to the theme parks!

I have good news for you! The answer is yes! You don’t have to have the park hopper option on your theme park ticket to be able to exit and re-enter the same theme park. Your base ticket would allow you to visit one park per day and you may enter and exit that same park as many times as you need to on that one day. If you visit the Magic Kingdom Park in the morning and leave mid-day, you are absolutely able to return at night to enjoy the fireworks! My husband and I do this every visit. We also have a three-year-old and our world is a much happier place when she takes her much needed nap after lunch!

Three is a great age and there are so many age appropriate attractions for your son to enjoy at the Magic Kingdom Park! Our daughter loves the “it’s a small world” and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel attractions. She also never turns down some freshly popped popcorn!

Brogain, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your trip. For any more ideas or suggestions, feel free to come back to see us anytime!

    Have a magical visit!
