I do not have the park hopper for my family and I have plans to be in EPCOT on December 3rd. I wanted to buy tickets to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party that night but was wondering if I need a park hopper to be able to go to the special event?

Hi Rachel! Thanks for stopping in with your planning question. Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, it’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical vacation!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is so much fun! You will love seeing the Magic Kingdom Park all dressed up in its Holiday best! You will also love the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays! I really enjoy trying all of the Holiday offerings at the kiosks around the World Showcase.

Rachel, you will not need to purchase the park hopper option if you’re wanting to attend this special event. But you will have to purchase a special event ticket for the festive party. You can absolutely use your Epcot theme park ticket to enter Epcot earlier that day, then hop on the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom Park. Your special event ticket will allow you access to the Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m., even though the party doesn’t begin until 7:00 p.m.!

Minnie is the mouse in charge of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’s brand-new fireworks show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show! I can’t wait to see her new Holiday outfit!

I hope I’ve been able to answer your question. If you have any more planning questions, you can always come back to see us!
