Hi ya, Tricia!
Welcome to planDisney, I’m so happy to hear that you will be visiting the parks in just a few short months! Are you excited? I love all the steps that go into planning for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The rush of booking a resort stay is usually what kicks off the whirlwind of emotions. The hardest part for me is keeping it a secret from our little ones. Which we always do because then their whole focus shifts to “When are we going?” and “How many more days?”. I’m pretty good and keeping it a surprise; it’s my husband who can’t.
As you may know, one of the
benefits of staying at a Disney Resort Hotel is the option to preorder a MagicBand at a discounted price. To locate where you can order your MagicBands, you’ll first need to sign into your My Disney Experience account. I like doing this on the
app, but you can also do it from a computer. On the mobile app, you will touch the 3 lines on the bottom right-hand corner, also known as the hamburger menu tab. From there, scroll down until you see “Hotel Reservations.” Click on that to open up your upcoming resort stay. Once you see your resort, scroll down to the blue icon that says “Choose MagicBands”. You will find this option just below the Check-in feature. Click on “Choose MagicBands” to be redirected to the ordering page. You might be asked to log in again, so just sign back in.
Once you have signed in, you will see the names of everyone on your reservation with a blue button directly below those names that says “Get Started”. Click on that to be taken to the next page. On that page, you will see everyone listed on your reservation again, but this time, with an individual button that says "Select”. Select the person you want to order a MagicBand for to continue. This should open up the available options. You will repeat these last couple of steps for everyone in your party who is selecting a
MagicBand+. Make sure to hit “Complete” to finalize and pay for your order.
I can’t wait to hear all about the MagicBands you select. I like to personalize the inside of mine with the year of the visit as a little keepsake. Thankfully, my most recent purchase has lasted a few years since they are now rechargeable. Which reminds me, don’t forget to bring your charger with you!
Have the best visit yet, Tricia. And if there’s anything else we can help with, we’re all ears.
See ya real soon,
Shantel
