It’s not giving an option to pay with Disney Rewards Redemption Card or Gift Cards at check out for Annual Passes. Did they take that option away? How can I pay using my rewards?

Shawna, whether you are purchasing a new Annual Pass or renewing yours, I am so happy to welcome you to the Passholder family. What I can't figure out is why you cannot use your Disney Rewards Dollars to pay for it. Curiouser and curiouser.

Let's step through the Looking Glass and see what may be going on in this upside-down world. I went to purchase an Annual Pass and followed all the steps to add a pass to my cart. The website confirms, "You can use each of these payment methods: a Disney® Visa® credit or debit card or another credit or debit card, a Disney Gift Card or Disney Vacation account, and a Disney Rewards Redemption Card." Good news!

Now, finding it is a bit tricky. After you have the Annual Pass in your cart and go to checkout, the option to use a form of payment other than a credit or debit card is below the fields where you enter your billing information. On the "Order Summary" page, Step 3 "Payment Information," scroll below the credit card information to "+ Pay with a Disney Rewards Redemption Card." When you click the "+," a pop-up window appears for you to enter the information from this card.

I don't think this applies to you, but I'm offering it just in case: I recently purchased an Annual Pass for my husband using a combination of Disney Reward Dollars and a Disney Gift Card. To use two forms of payment for one transaction, I had to call and speak with a Cast Member

One other tip I learned from my friend Ashley is the Pay Yourself Back benefit with Disney Reward Dollars. Have you heard of this? It is amazing. You can apply your Disney Reward Dollars to purchases at Disney destinations without transferring them to a rewards card. I did this following my recent trip to Walt Disney World. On the Chase app or the Chase website, you can select eligible purchases you have made and apply your dollars directly. I found it easier to manage than transferring to the rewards card. And if I wanted to pay for an Annual Pass with some reward dollars, I could purchase the pass online with my Disney Visa in one transaction and then apply the reward dollars afterward. Easy breezy!

Shawna, if you have any other questions as you enjoy your Annual Pass and a year of magic at Walt Disney World Resort, please come see us at planDisney. We are happy to share the adventures with you!
