Welcome to planDisney, and let me say how sorry I am for the loss of your property. I'm a Florida resident, so I understand storm damage all too well. I'm glad to hear you're rebuilding, so let's see how you can show proof of residency for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member named Hunter, and he said only guests with a valid Florida ID can verify residency online. This would include a Florida driver's license, a Florida-issued photo ID, or a Florida military ID. If you have any of those, you can verify your proof of residency when you check out online. My tip is to look for that option during the check-out process; I've overlooked it in my hurry to check out!
You can easily verify residency in person if you don't have any of the above forms of ID. You will be asked to show
proof of residency at check-in for resident rates at
Disney Resort Hotels. If you've purchased theme park tickets for residents, you can activate your tickets by showing proof of residency at any
Guest Relations window at the theme parks or Disney Springs.
My favorite way to do this is at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I typically head there the evening I arrive and go straight to
Gideon's Bakehouse to join their virtual queue. By the time I've taken care of business at the ticket center and done some shopping, I usually get called back to join the cookie line. Savoring a Peanut Butter Crunch cookie is the perfect way to celebrate activating a theme park ticket or annual pass!
I hope your next visit is magical, and I'm sprinkling pixie dust over your Florida home so it will be rebuilt better than ever. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
