Should we not eat at 50s Prime Time Cafe if some people in our party will not appreciate the "family act" the servers perform? Plus my non-verbal child will want his Ipod at the table as he is unable to participate in conversation.

Hello there, Erin! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to submit another great Walt Disney World Resort question!

50’s Prime Time Cafe is one of the dining locations I always list as a “must-do” for every Guest! The old-fashioned setting of this dining location is so unique and can be such a fun experience! You and your family will feel as though you are dining in Mom’s vintage kitchen with all of your closest, extended family members! Not to mention, the comfort food served here is just so delicious and reminiscent of some of my favorite home-cooked meals.

Personally, I was more than a little anxious about the “family fun” that takes place at 50’s Prime Time Cafe during my first visit! Fortunately, you can always notify a Cast Member about your family’s needs and be accommodated throughout your dining experience! I was able to enjoy my time at dining here despite my own nerves so I believe your family would be able to as well!

If the adults in your party would like to grab a drink while your party is waiting to be seated, I’d recommend stopping by the Tune-In Lounge inside 50’s Prime Time Cafe! There's quite a collection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available for Guests to try and the majority of these libations come with a fun "electric ice cube" that lights up your drink. The retro feel of this lounge area is a great way to kick-off your entire dining experience!

I hope you have a great family dining experience!
