I will not have a car but I am changing Disney vacation club resorts during my trip. Does Disney move my luggage

    Welcome Home, Deb!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Joining Disney Vacation Club was one of the best things we have done for our family. It's one of my favorite topics to chat about, and I always enjoy helping my fellow Members! We frequently book what is known as “split-stay.” Especially if we decide to plan a last-minute visit, a split-stay might be necessary to book all the nights we need. I know many Disney Vacation Club Members enjoy split-stays for the ability to experience different resorts, pools, and dining during their vacations. Pro tip: Plan your theme park days and Advanced Dining Reservations around your resort location!

Disney’s Bell Services will happily move your luggage from one Disney Resort Collection Hotel to another! This is a pretty easy process and we’ve done it many times. Once your bags are packed and ready to go, simply call Bell Services from your room phone, or you can walk your luggage to the lobby on your own. Let the Cast Member know your luggage needs to be transferred and they’ll get you set up!

A few important notes on this process. While Bell Services would move groceries in the past, they are no longer accommodating this request. If you have non-perishables inside suitcases, this would be fine, but they will not take your cold or frozen items or bagged groceries. You would need to transfer these yourself. Also, baggage transfer doesn’t usually occur until the late afternoon, so plan accordingly. Your luggage may not make it to your new resort until dinner time, or even later. I usually pack a bag for the day with any needed items like medications, ponchos, swimsuits, and sunscreen. Then we head off to enjoy the parks while Disney takes care of the rest! When you arrive at your new resort, simply head to Bell Services, or call them from your room phone for assistance. While this service is complimentary, I do always tip for good service.

I hope this helps with your planning, Deb. Please let me know what additional questions you have before your trip, we are always happy to help!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
