Greetings, Heather, and welcome to planDisney! Your magical vacation will be here in about a week, so I hope you have your daily outfits planned; don't forget the Minnie ears! I'm sorry you're having problems purchasing Lightning Lane passes, so let's look at some steps to try.
First, I recommend calling the
App and MagicBand Support line as soon as you can. They will be able to see your account and reservation information and can typically fix any glitches they see. They might even be able to help you purchase those passes on the phone. Cast Members are the true Fairy Godparents.
In the meantime, we can do some troubleshooting. To purchase and book Lightning Lane passes, you must be
linked in Friends & Family with everyone you'd like to buy for. As you know, they should also be listed on your Disney Resort Hotel reservation to
buy passes 7 days in advance.
Depending on the type of admission everyone has, you might also need theme park reservations for the park you'd like to purchase the passes for. Tickets that are not date-based, such as annual passes or military tickets, usually
need reservations.
Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite for using the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. There are so many iconic attractions there, and I feel the pass helps me make the most of my time.
I'll leave you with a tip: Even though you can only use the Multi Pass once per attraction, you can wait in the standby queue as many times as you like for additional rides. I love Space Mountain so much that I usually head straight there at park opening when the wait is low, and then I book a Lightning Lane for later in the day. Blast off!
Heather, I hope I've helped you solve your Lightning Lane issue. Have a practically perfect trip, and stop by
planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
