Thanks so much for bringing your question to the Moms Panel, Kerri! Congratulations...being an
Annual Passholder is any Walt Disney World fan's dream come true! As you may already know, in addition to theme park admission, Passholders receive benefits such as discounts on merchandise, food, guided tours, and even Walt Disney World Resort hotel stays. Passholders are often eligible for discounts on tickets for select nights of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, as well!
So, I understand your dilemma. Typically you will need to show your Annual Passholder plastic card along with a valid photo ID when checking into your resort hotel room if you are redeeming any Passholder offer. When you arrive at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would explain to the Cast Member at the front check-in desk, that you'll be going to Guest Services as soon as the parks open in the morning to activate your Annual Pass, and then make sure you return to the front desk later in the day with your card. Depending on what time you arrive, another option for you is to visit Guest Services at Disney Springs. I did this a couple of years ago because I wanted to upgrade my Annual Pass before I visited the parks the next day. The lines were very short, and it was nice knowing I didn't have to spend time doing it the following day.
Have a great stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kerri! While you're there, check out
Jiko - The Cooking Place, which is one of my favorite restaurants on property. With your Annual Passholder discount, you can enjoy a beautiful meal and save a little money at the same time!
