Ahoy, Bernadine!
Wow! It sounds like you have a fabulous European land and sea vacation coming up in May! I'm sure you are counting the days until you are sailing on the
Disney Magic and venturing ashore to visit some picturesque ports of call. It will definitely be a trip filled with magic and adventure!
Packing can be a stressful especially when you are only bringing a carry-on. Disney Cruise Line does offer formal nights onboard, but you will find a variety of dress in the dining venues on these evenings. Other nights are cruise casual, so I would just plan on wearing this type of attire for your entire cruise. The only clothing not permitted in the restaurants at night is bathing suit attire.
Palo does follow a stricter code than the three main dining rooms for brunch and dinner. A dress shirt and slacks for men and a dress/skirt with nice shirt or pantsuit for women is required. No jeans, shorts, capris, flip-flops or tennis shoes can be worn if you want to experience this adult-only dining venue.
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Bernadine. I hope you will let us know if you have any additional questions before it's time for your magical journey on the high seas!
